Origin Story

Our latest selection is a 200 hour anaerobic natural caturra from Huila’s Danilo Perez. It’s tart and jammy with subtle florals, reminding us of raspberry jam, lemon curd and violets.

Danilo is the son of farm and dry-mill owning parents, and has been involved with coffee from a very young age. He recently took up the challenge of producing more experimental lots, and the results blew Mike away on the cupping table during his most recent trip to Colombia.

We’re excited to showcase this outstanding coffee as Penny Sweet, and look forward to sharing more coffees from Danilo with you in the coming months.
