It reminds us of lemon meringue and peach tea, with a honeyed sweetness, silky mouthfeel, and a clean, elegant finish.

The coffee is grown by smallholders situated between 1,900 and 2,100m. Farms here are typically small and intercropped with crops such as enset, beans and avocado, grown in rich, fertile soil. Coffee is delivered to the Chelchele washing station, that sits at around 2,000m, and has extensive drying capacity, allowing for consistent and even processing. Cherries are carefully hand-sorted before being fermented and washed, then dried slowly on raised beds.

This exceptional lot was sourced through our importing partner in Ethiopia, Nordic Approach, who work with the Tadesse Desta Group, a quality-focused exporter working closely with producers and processing sites across the region to ensure careful preparation and consistent, high-grade coffees.

We hope you enjoy this classic expression of high-quality washed Ethiopian coffee as much as we do.
