Origin Story

This year we are delighted to have secured this lot of Paraíso processed by way of 72 hour natural anaerobic fermentation. Paraíso is a Timor Hybrid and Yellow Catuaí cross that was developed and selected due to its great cup quality, combined with high productivity and resistance to coffee leaf rust. In the cup it’s rich, boozy and sweet, reminding us of praline, rum raisin, and apricot. It’s a real perception shifter in terms of what flavours can be achieved with coffees grown in Brazil. We’ve visited Daterra on numerous occasions now, and with each visit we’re blown away by their drive for innovation and sustainability, and their meticulous attention to detail is second to none. The Masterpieces represent the pinnacle of their work, and we’re proud to be able to showcase them once again this year.
