We’re getting zingy pink grapefruit acidity with a delicate rose finish. On espresso with milk, it tastes like raspberry ripple. In short, it’s absolutely delicious and we can’t wait for you to try it.

So where is it from? Sitting at almost 2,000 masl, Pedacito de Cielo is a coffee farm we had the opportunity to visit recently during our time in Colombia. Its well-kept, flourishing trees cover some of the most beautiful slopes in Calarcá, Quindío. The name translates to “little piece of heaven,” and it feels like exactly that.

The farm is owned by Miguel and his wife Andrea, who run it very much with their daughter Guadalupe in mind. They’re the loveliest family, and we all had the pleasure of getting to know them during our Plant to Port course, Miguel is also Head of Operations for Raw Material in Colombia. Miguel and Andrea have set the farm up to focus solely on producing pink bourbon, and everything they do is with their daughter’s future in mind: one day they hope to pass their already thriving farm on to her. She’s only three, but she runs a tight operation, and we consider ourselves lucky to have got our hands on some of this outstanding coffee.
